In Another Life
I taste your morning coffee again,
Your arms become my daily den,
I hear one of my 42 nicknames,
We share stories around campfire flames,
You nuzzle up to my cheek,
I miss the way you speak.
In another life,
I take you for granted but still feel enchanted.
In another life,
I don’t know what I’m missing.
In another life,
I hope we’re kissing.
-Another Life by Christi Steyn
in another life I would have been braver and we wouldn’t be strangers
I don’t post unfinished stuff often, but I’ve been finding these little vignettes easier to work on. Especially when it’s part of processing emotions.
