Thanks, I really tried to make Jane's feeling realistic. Not super sudden like he suddenly knew exactly what things meant.

Chapter 21: In which Jane begins to figure out stuff about themselves, and Moe starts to painfully awaken from her emotional numbness.

True and True. Moe has been one of my favorite characters to write and I really hope that I am doing her justice as she starts to come back to herself.

Took me a while to get to this. Didn’t actually see it until after I read chapter 4 of when you find yourself taken. This is so nice. I felt so light and happy reading this. I’ve always loved this story for being so heartwarming and much more realistic than most stories I read, and with the inclusion of Moe, it’s gotten so much better. Having a character who didn’t treat Jane like a perfect angel, who didn’t give him unconditional love the way Mary did was a huge turn, and I was really excited to see where her character went. I love that she has her own justifications for certain actions and has a history with clear and hazey memories showing themselves.
Also neat thing that Mary has had to help Jane through being little and everything that comes with that where Moe has to help him through gender identity. Can’t wait to see what happens as they learn to trust each other more.

I'm glad that you were happy reading it. I love Mary so much and love her as a happy mom filled with unconditional love. I always knew though that eventually I wanted Jane to stand on his own paws for a spell. So these past chapters have been a blast to write.

FINALLY! I wanted to read the new chapter for way too long, but I knew I couldn't concentrate long enough to do it justice u.u (New job's taking a toll)
I really love that you make us like Moe just as much as all the other characters. Even with all those tripping stones in the way of Janes and Moes relationship.
It kinda feels more weird with every chapter that the narrator still uses he/him pronouns for Jane, but I guess that reflects Janes view on herself.

No worries. I completely understand a time crunch. As always thank you so much for your input. Congrats on the new job though. I am so happy that I was able to bring Moe into her own light. The idea of introducing a character and working them into a lovable state was daunting.

Yeah it has been tricky when to change over the pronouns for Jane. I didn't want to go to soon and spoil things but certainly don't want to wait too much longer. I have a specific moment planed for the little gal and when it happens it will shift moving forward.
