A simple unicellular algae that glows in the dark. It is slightly more buoyant than water and floats, suspended in its biome, and carried along by ocean currents. It is protected by a layer of semi-permeable membrane which it uses to filter in organic matters. Once it absorbed enough nutrients and reached maturity, it'd divide to create two new, genetically identical offspring.
