So a couple nights ago, there was a big rainstorm, and our power went out in the middle of the night, and stayed out for SEVEN HOURS.
The next night, there was no storm, but our power went out again. Getting tired of sitting in the dark with nothing to do, I went to the movies and saw "Easy A". It was pretty fun.
But it didn't start until an hour after I got to the theater. So while I waited, I sat and drew this.
When I got back home, I found out the power had come back on ten minutes after I left. Hoo boy!
And now that I just thought of it, I did some googling. It's a bacterium, not a virus. Yes, there is a cholera plushie, but it's a bit thinner than the thingy I drew: http://www.giantmicrobes.com/us/pro.....s/cholera.html

I used to live on a road where the power went out regularly. Once it went out for five days after an ice storm with the temperature in the teens and twenties. That meant no heat or anything and running water constantly to keep the pipes from freezing and bursting (again). The night it happened the power came back on briefly when there were still trees lying on the lines and the breakers in front of the house immediately popped and set fire to some brush piled on the side of the road. I called the power company, then the fire department. No one showed and eventually the freezing rain put the fire out before it spread to a hotel property next door. Talk about living in the third world…
