“The Islanders of Nightshade are a simple and peaceful folk, friendly and content with their lives, but while they have no desire to venture beyond the safety of the southern shores, they sure are curious about my ‘adventures’ out in the rest of the island and beyond.

So, every night that the moon is dark,... a 'new moon' I think they call it,... and the stars are bright in the sky, they cook a big feast, we celebrate, and I do ‘Story Time’. They all gather around and I tell them of the adventures and battles I’ve had, sometimes even acting them out abit, if I can, and they just love it.

It was a little hard for me at first, but I think I’m getting better at it,… it’s the least I can do for all they do for me.”

‘He glared down at me, giant claws raised, lightning flashing up from them,… but I stood my ground, tightened my grip on me spear, and,…’

So, not birthday themed, but still yet another birthday present from my friends  jurgenblue and  rambobrosreloadit who recently got a slot on  ShoNuff44’s Sunday stream, and gave it to me to get a picture of my choosing, that they both split the cost of. If I haven’t said it enough already, you guys are great and I’m very luck to have friends as good as you. :).

The idea I went with was one I had in mind for a long time, showing abit more of Ember’s relationship with the Nightshade Islanders she lives with, and ‘story time.’ :)

This picture really came out great, Ember looks fantastic, you really get a great sense of her trying to be dramatic from her stance and posturing, and that confident expression as she tells her story really adds a lot to it. The crowd visible behind her really says a lot as well, clearly she’s doing a good job to attract such attention. What is most notable in this picture though is the lighting, how the light from the fire illuminates the whole picture, shining off of Ember, while creating a soft glow on the side of her facing the fire, and shadows on the side facing away from it. Beautifully done. :)
