Sometimes you just get lucky, very lucky. This was taken with my pocket camera. On top of that, it is an extreme crop from the orignal photo (which was much wider and the leaping carp was just a tiny speck in the background). I was shocked at just how sharp this is at this resolution. On a very rare occasion, my little pocket olympus camera suprises me. And this was one of them.
This was on a lake at sunset where carp were jumping all around. I had enough lingering light that I got lucky, the camera went with a high shutter speed and froze this carp in perfect detail in its silholuette as it left the water. A scene that I wish I would have had my DSLR with and zoomed in to just get the silhouette of the leaping carp as the main subject, but all things considered, it was still a very lucky shot.
Good enough, that this is my current desktop background on my laptop, until I find something that grabs me more.
