This is a bit of a personal thing from long ago. Before I had the BLK character, as a kid I had a similar little blue dragon character I would doodle and think about. Most of the art for him is very old and very crude (as I said I was a kid), but I was have some nostalgic thoughts and had plushes on the mind, so I thought to update the character as a cute plush. I don't know if anything will come from the character, but it was nice thinking about some of my old original inspirations for my fondness of dragons. Who knows, it may appear if I have an idea that doesn't fit BLK or Alan, or it may be another 15-20 years before I draw him again. At least I won't bring back the edgy version of him that appeared as I got into teenage years.

BLK Plush merch when?
I had my "Sonic" phase way back in the stone age (Sega Genesis era) where me and my sister made some Sonic OCs when we were cubs. Some ideas we came up with were not terrible and I grew close to one I really liked. However... He wasn't a good character :x But I was able to salvage some things and learn a lot about character/story creation from just trying.
That 'newer' character is now my oldest, but one of my favorites. I still use him from time to time, written him into a novel about... *Checks and omits "I'm Old" groans* Six years agooo...!?How is Anthem That Old!? >>;;;

Such a cute little fella! I feel like I could picture Alan holding this plush at night from time to time.
As for your question, my very first OC was a Goomba wearing a Luigi cap, which I quickly changed to a Koopa Troopa with a mechanical red shell. He was an inventor and also had a personal grudge against Bowser, but I didn't really flesh out his character very much. A few years after that, in around 2009 or 2010, I had a Sandshrew character named Slash who...honestly had even less characterization. I don't know if I could even tell you what his personality was.
I'd like to think the differences between my characters now and then are night and day, though both of my aforementioned characters were remarkable small in stature, so even back then, my interest in characters on extreme ends of the size spectrum found its way into my character designs.
I did write some stories back when I was 5 or 6, but I've lost them all as they were saved on a floppy disk that need to be reformatted. (I have since come to terms with the fact that these stories are lost and threw out the floppy disk) I don't remember much about them, and I never finished them, but I recall one was about a couple of young dinosaur brothers who got separated while they were away from home, and was meant to follow the older brother as he tried to find and rescue is his little brother.
