A late, but started early birthday present for a very good friend of mine. He is obsessed with sheep's foot knives, so I figured he'd love this.
This friend in question is probably the only person I'd ever go out of my way to put this much effort in. The other thing I sent took quite a bit of work too, but will not be shown.
I made it look more like a seax in the shape of the blade as well as the sheath.
Unfortunately my friend will not be getting this on his birthday exactly.
Handle is made from hickory. The brass is made from a bit of scrap I've melted down a long time ago. I don't really have a proper set up for melting down materials and casting them, so it was more of a funny looking coin made by letting it cool in the bottom of one of those stainless steel ketchup cups.
