Beautiful work on the clothing and the background adds, without detracting, from the work. The expressions of confidence on the left and shy on the right are very well done. Her hair style is perfect for the scene.

That's the one thing that's come up too offten in this art project. Sure, it could be steam punk, but I was running straight Victorian. The whole project was a combination bad pun (Dandy Lion) and effort to throw some clothes at the artists. Lots of nude and near nude art out there, not a whole lot of detailed clothing design.

To be perfectly honest, I was trying to see how many artists I could get to run in terror from my referance photos... it never worked. Even the ones who where afraid had always wanted to but been to affraid and this gave them an excuse.

Seriously, not a single artist I talked to didn't have either an overt or secret desire to draw a giant victorian dress...

Ha, now I'm awake and can actually talk. It's a lovely piece, definatly worth the wait. Zelith looks ready to take on the world.
In fact, my only correction is in your subtext. Second character is Art/Artimus, the 'Vic' was just an abreviation for Victorian. ^_^

I had mentioned when I posted the corset picture to my account (Also, what is it with people giving Zelith tophats? In the DL pics it's period but atleast two artists have passed them down for unrelated pictures. I always saw her as more of a derby girl... which come to think of it Jing did. I wonder is it's the no hair thing that inspires so many hats.) and here I am in a bowler/derby.

OH YEAH! I actually DID read that you preferred her in bowlers so when I re-sketched this image I decided to go with the bowler ^.^
