I am now considering the scenario where my self-insert character is politely asked by a shade to meet its mistress. My options would to either accept the offer to see the mistress, or to decline it. Although the end result would most likely be the same (most likely resulting in me becoming a shade myself), I wonder how the shade would react if I said I had to decline because “I am busy right now, I have friends who aren’t shades that I need to meet, I am not a shade myself, and I am not too interested in seeing your mistress at the moment”.
