Wildflower is a hybrid between a cactus cat and a tumbleweed hyena. Basically his external body is a cactus, and his internal body is (mostly) stretchy tumbleweeds.

His outer shell segments at certain points to allow his weeds (essentially muscle fibers) to utilize their stretching power. Notably at the left shoulder, which he typically covers with a furry pauldron.

Since his left hand is a prickly pear and nonfunctional for most purposes, he sometimes pulls the tumbleweeds out of his arm's skin as if it were a long shirt sleeve, forming a useful arm and hand from his insides.

It'd be awkward to just have the empty arm waving about, so he wraps it around the back of his neck like a scarf.
