Don't wanna sound stereotypical or in any way racially toned.. but what about Lox? (as in Lox and Bagels?)

(I mention the stereotypical/racially unsure stuff because I don't want to accidentally pull an insult to jewish people, in a way similar to how saying "gypped" is insulting gypsies, etc?)

All I know about lox with regard to bagels is that I found out first-hand there are some in the world who entirely tableflip if anyone suggests putting ANYTHING other than lox on a bagel. -SMH- Makes me want to chain 'em to a chair, get a box of bagels, top each one with something totally different (Nutella? Sriracha Mango? Anything goes!), and put it out for them to just stare at... or something.

Well I'd technically flip if anyone put lox on MY bagel.. since i'd be losing my LUNCH if i ate it.. (allergic/reactionary to salmon)

But i'm a cream cheese-bagel fancier to be honest.
