Learning a thing or two about color theory, so I decided to practice some shading techniques on my boy Aki here. Funfact- there is barely any 'true' black in this pic, which I think is pretty neat.

Trying to do a slightly less toony style, it's been a while so I gotta work back up to it and improve on my 'normal' style. *sighs* I know it's part of being an artist, but I'd like to be a bit happier about my lineart for once...
