It definitely looks good the way it is and doesn't need color, but I'm sure that color wouldn't hurt it any.

It looks to me like it would be a dark picture (lots of blues and purples!) with the orb thing (whatever it is) being one of few/the only light source(s). Glowy effect ftw! I'm not sure in what terms you wanted help. I'm probably the worst person to be giving advice, but that's where I saw it going.
I wish I could draw muscles the way you do. FFFFFFUUUUUUUU-
