Nope, it's not in Iowa, and it's not on an interstate- this is the Iowa Interstate Railroad's Blue Island, Illinois yard, a former Chicago, Rock Island & Pacific facility. Two Metra commuter lines converge here, one the Blue Island branch of the Electric District, and the other, both branches of the Rock Island District. Between the two is this yard, where road power is stored.
Here, a hail storm approaches, preceded by a cloud of dust from the yard, with an IAIS GP38-2 and a GEVO sitting.

No, those are kept at the 47th St Shops (the "Rocket House") on the former Rock Island/New York Central line on the south side of Chicago. Some are back in service, others are awaiting restoration. The Rock Island District of Metra has lots of ex-CRI&P bilevels that have been rebuilt.. some are from the 1950s.
yea we had some shipped out to Tacoma X-CNW's including a "bar car" in 06 for a steam train but we need to have a F40PHI to power them since thay where setup for 440V not 32V and had to fix the H/AC,replace most of the lights inside, repair the doors and clean the dam things inside and out
