No, no, the saturation is fairly accurate. Magic is supposed to be a bit unreal so this works quite well.(I'm not talking about the lightning alone, when magic is in use, the excess energy distorts the surroundings ever so slightly. The more control of magic someone has, the less it distorts but it never doesn't.)
