It's a literal gun-dog (it's supposed to be made from wood and steel).

Hee, I like how you interpreted him - especially his face, I've probably would've taken a similar approach, especially after I saw this photo of Ilkka Koivula (in the 2009 movie adaptation of Väino Linna's Under The North Star) so I found someone who would be a good one to reference from ffffff

I love the knife of all things. It stands out against the cold white snow. The eye looks like it is still alive...
Of course the character himself and the dog are well done and I love how you caught the lighting effect reflecting from the snow onto his skin.

I never know what to say to people - I know there are some artists who get made when you say only something like "WOW!" but sometimes I just can't more eloquent, y'know?

He wears a living fur coat and hat, which has the big staring red eyeball. This is him having just skinned whatever critter he's going to make into his outfit.
