"I am marked! I am chosen! I am in ascendance!" -Seartooth
If there was one word to truly describe Nerek Gashclaw, it would be sadistic. Sadistic beyond measure. Though it's relatively uncommon for him to directly deal with prisoners of war and captured individuals on raids and various attacks, he'll often indulge himself with the tormented screams of pure agony as he utterly sets various prisoners ablaze with his powerful and corrupted fire magic, often reducing those victims to nothing but piles of ash and various charred bones. However, when one would-be execution turned into a moment of both awe and utter confusion, Nerek was sure he was given a direct sign from Bertoxxulous himself.
The victim that would later be named 'Seartooth' survived the swirling and burning torrent of Nerek's powerful fire, as if guarded and briefly protected by a moment of divine and unseen intervention. How else could one explain the prisoner's survival to the Pyrelord's flames? To survive against the Plague God's right hand? As the flames died down, Seartooth remained, but so scorched was he that Nerek's flames imbued his flesh and fur alike, giving him a permanent red hue to his body and imparting a degree of the Pyrelord's own power and magic within him. After witnessing such an unholy miracle, Nerek Gashclaw declared Seartooth as one of Bertoxxulous' chosen, and has happily taken him underneath his tutelage. Seartooth did not complain nor resist, for the Direwind curse was embedded and seared deeply into flesh and soul alike from Nerek's flames, for Bertoxxulous intervened to save Seartooth's life.
Grateful for the opportunity (and daring not to waste a deity's direct intervention and blessing), Seartooth was dispatched to the continent of Faydwer in an expedition to reduce the elven city of Kelethin to pure ash and rubble. Leader of the expedition and 'sub clan', known as 'The Disciples of the Burning Paw', Seartooth leads the charge against the continent of Faydwer to further the Direwind's agenda of global domination and infection.

Lol, you did ask this a long time ago. XD
Being the avid fantasy player I am, I guess it just comes natural. I can easily make a name depending on the race of the character I am making. Fits together like two pieces of a puzzle, I guess. If that analogy makes sense. It's hard to explain. Really this stuff is as natural as breathing for me.
