I would have taken more time on it, but how I drew the initial sketch irritated me because the eye, neck and foot-focused posing doesn't seem to work well so it ended up being another of my shade tests. This might be a bit too much gloss, a bit too much soft shading in certain areas. This was a really old sketch too, just now finishing up some of my work.

I also feel this might be a bit too fetishy. I'm hoping to go less footsie tootsie and focus more overall on the birds themselves that I'm drawing. Bird feet have easy shapes to work on which is useful and I certainly will have foot-themed pieces here and there especially in my beginning stages, but as I get better expect more emphasis on other things besides those talons that look like toe knives and those beautiful scales.
