Well, Citroen built the DS between 1955 and 1975.
Because of the exposed headlights I say it is one of the models built between 1969 and 1975.

But I am not sure, because they never sold that specific model in europe.

The DS21 was introduced in 1968 and produced until '75.
This was obviously an export model as it lacks the aerodynamic headlight covers of the Eurespec versions.
I suspect maybe a '71... but I'm not sure.

There was a similar burned out one of those in Back To the Future II. Ugly cars but intriguing to look at.

Very lucky find, these are now extremely rare in the United States, most of them have sadly been scrapped. They didn't have covers over the headlights like their native friends at home in France because of contemporary laws in the US that prohibited them.

well that law is null & void now
besides there was a couple in BTTF 2 as taxi cabs
