Age 1: Machii is born from unknown parents into a mining operation. He's no different from the other hatchlings, save for the peculiar markings on his eyes. He spends his infancy under the care of various t'chklo who look after the young on the colony until they're old enough to start working.
Age 4: Machii is still a perfectly normal child. He's clingy, he's needy, he's still too small to put on a smock. He does, however, speak fairly well in Techai, and has yet to pick up any commonspeak.
Age 8: Finally old enough to go down into the mines, Machii goes down with his pack of young t'chklo. The conditions aren't favorable for the older adult t'chklo, but that doesn't seem to deter the young troop that much. The tasks are simple, but not favorable for the developing children. Profit is profit in the eyes of the overseer, no matter how it's attained. Despite not being allowed to play on the job, Machii seems to find plenty of time to sneak off with a few other kids.
Age 16: Machii's been at the grind for a while. He's graduated from moving boxes, to drilling rock, to picking ore, to piloting a mining mech. He's been swooped up by Zheil, an older t'chklo on the colony, who's looked after him for a good while, bailing Machii out of trouble when he finds himself in it. Machii also finds himself spearheading a revolution, raising hell in the mines and on the colony above in a fight for his freedom, and the freedom of the others on the colony.
Age 19: Machii, having succeeded in the revolution years ago, finds himself struggling to adjust to a new life, and coping with the loss of his father figure, as well as countless others he could have called friends. He makes ends meet by participating in underground mech fights, becoming something of a fan favorite in his ring. This also lands him in hot water on the occasion, with some disagreements getting physical.
Age 24: Machii finds himself having been scouted by the right person, having been scooped up to undertake a new life as a freelance combat mech pilot. He's been given the gear, and had a mech custom-built for him. Using his mech, "Kiss Me Sunlights", Machii scours the stars in search of jobs that aid the greater good, such as search and rescue missions in hostile areas. He makes quite the name for himself, or rather his mech, as people still seem surprised someone so small can pilot something so big with the amount of skill he does.
