One of the best parts about having full manual control of an SLR camera is the fact you can essentially be an idiot and deliberately point it directly into the sun like this and compensate for it; by exposing for the subject matter you want to shoot. At the entrance to the graveyard, this is a pretty evocative statue (that faces towards Jerusalem) and with a little whispy cloud visible and a fantastic sun flare, this is one my my favourite pics from the day.
