After being processed and put into a uniform, Sheriff Carson's fox deputy escorted Agent Davis to the Sheriff's desk. "Uncuff her, Roger, I don't think she's gonna try anything." A bat in a cell nearby snarled, "Don't be so sure of that, Sheriff." Roger then went to the cell to tap on a bar with his tonfa. "That'll be enough from you, Ms Crowley," he told her, then headed back to his office.
Something seemed familiar to the leopard Agent Davis about that deputy, but she couldn't quite figure out what as Sheriff Carson soon said, "Now, Ms Davis, your cooperation here is key as I think you may have been set up for that heist, especially as the tail and ears don't match with the surveillance footage we dug up, but 1st, tell me about who you work for, Ms Davis."
Cassie then came up with a quick bluff, "I'm self-employed, Sheriff." The raccoon Sheriff then lifted his sunglasses to show his eyes, "Allow me to rephrase that: tell me who you work for, AGENT Davis."
The Agent looked astonished that the Sheriff knew she was a spy, "An organization known as M.E.O.W., Sheriff, but how would mew know that?" The raccoon then responded, "Before I headed to the Rubber Band Motel, I was tipped off by a former inmate of mine turned close friend, one Danielle Greaseton, often goes as 'Grease.' She warned me that you may be in trouble and linked me a tapped clip of Dana Azul entering the Motel shortly after you checked in, with a money bag from Small Town Bank."
The agent raised an eyebrow, "If mew had all that, why did mew bother putting me in a uniform?" The Sheriff then smiled as he answered, "Very simple, Agent, to take the suit to forensics to see if fur deposits from Ms Azul were still on it. There were, as well as paw prints from Vanessa Verde. We have what we need for a warrant, but will need help bringing these 3 down with how short staffed my department is."
Agent Davis went from worried to smiling, "Count me in, Sheriff." Just then a feline in a trenchcoat and fedora walked into the room, "And me as well!"
