Mirror Tooth, the Blackburrow Enchantress
"How can you trust yourself as your very world crumbles around you? As your own senses betray you? How easy the mind is to mold and shape..." -Mirror Tooth
Perhaps the most powerful magic is not that of explosive fire or destructive comets of ice or of intense bolts of heavy lightning, but rather the subtle and equally chaotic magic of an enchanter. Though 500 years have went by since the Direwind's defeat and the death of Cezia, the world still shudders at the very mention and memory of her name. The chaos wrought by Cezia alone in the distant past was staggering, much of it being done without her lifting so much as a finger. So great was her mental capacity for her profession she would quite literally win in most any engagement with her arms tied behind her back. Turning friends against one another, creating horrible illusions and making nightmares into literal reality were just some of the things Cezia Brainstealer could do.
Though the very continents of Norrath have shifted and altered since the time of both the Rending and the Shattering, what used to be the Direwind Cliffs changed, the ruins of ancient and powerful dark tomes lost to time buried and scattered throughout the lands of Antonica and the Thundering Steppes and even parts of Everfrost. Such tomes and ancient weaponry has lied dormant for decades, as if simply waiting. Waiting for someone to stumble upon them once more. Bertoxxulous and his Direwind curse were defeated centuries ago, but it doesn't mean the dark tomes can't turn a mortal mind mad.
Mirror Tooth was always an unassuming individual of the Blackburrow Clan. Not entirely versed in blade or spell, her primary job in the clan was simply gathering edible herbs and other various plants for safe consumption and medicinal uses. Her life would change forever when she stumbled upon an ancient cave entrance hidden within the northern base of the large mountain in the middle of Antonica. It was there she found several ancient tomes of the Direwind- belonging to Cezia herself. Thought dusty and weathered by age, the power within was still very real. And very strong and alluring. Mirror Tooth, tempted by the power, coveted the tomes and took them back with her, keeping them hidden so that nobody, not even Xeltha, could find them. The more Mirror Tooth studied the cursed tomes, the more she learned Cezia's old and ancient magic- magic that had not been seen in hundreds of years. When Xeltha finally discovered this, the Stormtail descendant was puzzled on what to do. The right thing to do would be to destroy the tomes...and yet, such power on the side of the Blackburrow could be useful in their everlasting war against Qeynos. Against her better nature, Xeltha allowed Mirror Tooth to keep the tomes, though Xeltha now directly oversees her magical training....just in case something catastrophic happens.
