Despite the two not being biologically related, the two do see each other as brothers even to where the late Lilian and Dargo did trust Issac in teaching Stryker how to ride a motorcycle. Though their brotherly relationship was put to the test during the Avenger period where every time Issac tried to reach out to Stryker, he was met with hostility. But he never stopped trying as he knew that somewhere in there was Stryker and he was right. After stopping Stryker from dealing a fatal blow to Mastermind and taking him in, Stryker had a mental breakdown where he realized that he went too far as Avenger for 6 months. He began to call himself just a kid playing dress up and someone who should just be discarded as trash with how he treated his friends. But Issac just comforted him and told him everything will be alright which was what Stryker needed, someone close to him hugging him and comforting him.

Past that point, after therapy and going back to normal life as well as reestablishing himself as Vineslinger, the two still work together as if nothing happened. Looking out for each other and helping the other up when they're down like brothers should be. Since family isn't 100% dictated by blood, it can be with those you let into your life.
