Simply Barratt [November 11th 2021]

Exactly as it says on the tin - a full-body view of Commander Zeus Barratt. As I said on my Simply Jaws piece, the comics rarely called for me to draw any of the characters in full profile - except in distant shots, and even then they only appeared in what I call my itty-bitty style. Obviously I'd done full-body views of many of the characters in model sheets (which I may or may not make public at some point), and so I decided to try and put them to use here.

There are a lot of little details I like to have fun with when drawing, and one of these is characters with sunglasses. It seems that whichever way such characters are facing, the light always seems to reflect in their glasses the same way. And those reflections always seem to suit the character's mood at that moment - funny, that...
