I can speak for myself, and the process yesterday went sort of like this:
1. I got the prompt while getting ready for a doctor's appointment, so I had time to think about the various meanings behind the word.
2. I needed to keep the narrative moving for the story Kiss Me in the Dark: A Quiet Life, so I started developing a scene.
3. I got back from the appointment, and started / restarted / resumed / restarted. These vignettes don't take very long, and there are a Lot of loose ends throughout the story that need to be resolved before I can finally reach the end.
