Warning: rapidly changing colors (greyscale, but still sudden enough to perhaps be a concern for some; I don't understand epilepsy all that well).
A generic pop/burst/explosion I created recently, to be inserted at the relevant moment in an animation. Made by creating a spiked circle, mixing in some line particles, shred mesh particles and applying the Lens Distortion filter node (which is a fantastic filter for effects like this).
For the record, yes, I do like popping as the logical climax to an inflation sequence. I've got a few different approaches and a fairly sophisticated surreal philosophy surrounding it-- in brief, in my standard furry universe, popping is not a permanent concern for any of my inflatable characters, and reformation/regeneration is always an option. However, out of respect to those who do not like popping (and believe it or not, I do actually understand how they feel; personally, I couldn't stand it at all at one point, though my feelings have since changed), anything I submit involving it will be clearly labeled as such.
And that's good for tonight, I think. I'll be back in any number of days when my new character model is presentable.
