Nimeria, Queen of the Night Life (SFW ref)
SFW | NSFW
Oftentimes, vampires on Vakkert Sedd tend to be divided into two "lifestyles." Urban vampires prefer to keep their profile low, blend in with the general populous while they amass their powerbase and grow older and stronger. And then there's wild vampires like Vitaen, who live in less developed parts of Sedd to take advantage of their bestial power and abilities to claim what they want by force. Naturally both of these kinds look at the other with scorn, but that's beside the point.
While visiting over on the edge of Xyrisa closer to its major port city, I was told by some excitable locals that I should introduce myself to the local "Queen of the Night", a bat who owns several of the city's clubs and brothels and would love to meet a creature like me. Curious about what I was told, I sought her out at one of her clubs and told them I was recommended to meet her, only for my scales to raise as I realized immediately what she was, and she clearly recognized what I was too as we stared each other down.
She carried herself with confidence despite clearly sensing I was more than just a dragon, as I sized up her vampiric nature. I refrained from mentioning the irony of a bat that wasn't a vampire bat being, well a Vampire, which I think she probably appreciated, before we began to talk to each other, still on both our guards.
Her name was Nimeria, or at least that's the name she gives everyone. She was an elder vampire, likely older - thus stronger, than even Vitaen, though she looked, for all bluntness, absolutely stunning to have survived so long. Those all told me being guarded was the proper response to this woman - though she herself had kept her cool - offering me a drink and crossing her long legs and putting her hands on each other, cloaking herself slightly in her wings.
I've never liked vampires. While Seddian vampires aren't "undead" in the strictest terms and it's not technically my "job" to hunt them - their hearts stop beating and their blood stops flowing, but their souls remain firmly rooted to their bodies unlike most undead whose souls left and were then re-summoned - they're still creatures of darkness who often aren't picky about the innocence or guilt of their prey. After talking, I noticed how she was eyeing me like a treat, clearly she wanted a taste.
For a teaching moment, I obliged and bit my finger, letting a drop of my blood drip into her wine, and then warned her she wouldn't like what she tasted. Since I lean more towards the divine in my Reaping duties, my nature is holy aspected, so unsurprisingly she took a single sip and recoiled, hissing in pain, before collecting herself and thanking me for showing her in a small amount instead of letting her give me a "kiss", which would likely have set her on fire. Myself taken off the menu, I decided it was time to ask her some probing questions. Namely why she was living here instead of in Ealasia, or a similarly low-tech area more friendly to a vampire's lifestyle choice.
Her response was thusly: she had been alive for a very long time, and on Sedd since she was born. Entertainment and new toys that could please her for long weren't common, but Xyrisa, in the middle of a technological revolution that had never been seen on the planet before, was enough to catch her interest and then some. So she moved here, away from the capital to avoid too much suspicion, and went about ingratiating herself with both the local civilian night life and the city's underworld. She ran her clubs, she enjoyed the pleasures she could find in this inventive society's advancements and culture shift, and she worked with the crime bosses to keep order and peace. All of this was explained with a seductive and flirty trill and body language, clearly, she enjoyed being more of a manipulator and seductress, hiding her no doubt excellent power by using her looks and position in the city's 'politics' instead.
While we were... interrupted mid conversation. We finished off cordially enough. She told me she didn't know -what- I was, but since I was clearly holy aspected and didn't try to eat her, I was fine with her. In the spirit of fostering comradery, and not making bad blood between the two of us she told me I could come visit her clubs any time that I wanted and enjoy what she had on offer, be it pleasures of taste or pleasures of the flesh. I thanked her for the offer - politely, before excusing myself for the time being, but mentioning who initially sent me which drew a chortle from her. She enjoys feeding on "rare" species, so she wasn't surprised one of her scouts sent a dragon her way. She openly and teasingly flirted that it's a shame we're "incompatible" because I seemed like fun, and taking that as a compliment and not as a statement she was sad I wouldn't make a meal, we said our farewells and I departed.
Though I've no doubt her desire for power, both physical and metaphorical, is just as greedy and hungry as Vitaen's, she seemed like less of an overt threat, so I'm content to leave her be, with an eye kept out on her.

(NOTE: I originally posted the NSFW version of this character with a writeup that I wasn't happy with, so I posted this with a much expanded version of the original writeup, and gave the NSFW version a new writeup, if you read the earlier version, it's worth going back to read it over again).
Introducing Nimeria! I've always been a fan of vampires, and I like bats, so a vampire bat if not ironic, seemed like a natural choice! So Sweets helped me create this statuesque lady who serves as a direct foil to Vitaen - rather than a brutal, bestial fiend who takes what he wants, Nimeria is a calm and collected seductress who uses her looks, charms and manipulative skills to get what she wants by leaving you so enamored you want to give it to her willingly.
Nimeria belongs to me!
