I have been through that crossing many times. I have seen them take anyone who is not an American or Canadian and do that to them. Hell who am I kidding, they even do it to their own and to a few Canadians as well. They are just bullies who like to prove that they are in charge. BeastInShow and I were prevented from boarding our plane from Canada to the US because the Canadian boarder guard bureaucrats thought that we were carrying a couple ounces of LSD. It was tryptophan, an essential nutrient amino acid. Their LSD test apparently detected anything with an indole-like structure. We had just done a TV show for the Canadian Broadcasting Company (or what ever they call the government network) on biomedical science. I demanded my one telepjone call - and told them that it wouldn't be to my lawyer, but to the CBC show's producer about fraudulent drug tests. They called the number that I gave them, and discovered that I'd told them the truth. They actually held a big passenger jet for an extra half hour in order to get us on it. They told us that they knew it was LSD, and that we must never come back to Canada. They kept our tryptophan, quite possibly to sell it as LSD. Border guards are frequently in the pay of dope dealers as well as being fascist power freaks.

If only he knew whom he was letting in the country! ICE, the FBI, and the CIA are obviously actively seeking to recruit you for your talents now.
