Description

Salvador was born in the dry interior of Hoenn, and moved to Lilycove soon after his fifth birthday. As soon as he hit school, he made fast friends with Alex, Steven and Traze. Always considered the 'odd man out', Sal is a shit disturber. Simply put, he loves causing problems between other teams, though in Team Burst, he's actually a pretty good guy. He seems to be more of a revenge junkie than an actual asshole, because if the shit hits the fan, you can be assured that there was a good reason for it. He doesn't start his own trouble, he just ends everyone else's. For all intents and purposes, he's a good guy, if a bit quiet. He seems to fit the mold of "That Guy" perfectly; nothing is glaringly obvious about him, he doesn't stand out from the crowd, and he is perfectly fine flying under the radar... however, when it comes to battling or driving, or kicking it at a rave, he is a standout in almost every way.

Battle Style

'Hit below the belt' may as well be tattooed into Sal's arm with how he fights. Sneaky, stealthy, sometimes just downright dirty, he's the sniper for Team Burst. His attacks are meant to confuse, play tricks, and throw the other team off balance. He doesn't do a lot of damage directly, though he is very adept at flanking and scoring huge damage with many different attacks. In a one-on-one fight, he resorts to dirty tactics, including Spikes, Faint Attack and Leech Seed. Most try to avoid him, because in all honesty, the skill with which he deploys his nefarious tactics is worrying. He savors hitting without being hit, messing with heads and turning the flow of battle on its head. He turns the opponents strength into their weakness, and his own team's weakness into their best asset.

Clothing

Normally seen in lightweight clothing, Sal is nothing if not dogged in his attempt to wear as little as possible. His summer attire is reduced to a pair of baggy shorts and a t-shirt, maybe sunglasses. He has a bead necklace that he doesn't take off (ever; in the shower, running, on the bloody moon) and he has never worn any shoes heavier than flip-flop sandals. He seems to enjoy brighter colors, and isn't afraid to be seen in pink; in fact, his theory is that 'if the girls like pink, they'll like a guy wearing it'. His clothing really does reflect his personality: rather bubbly, upbeat and happy-go-lucky. For a dark type, he certainly isn't dark.

Unique Traits

Being the middle kid sucks; being the middle kid in a family of nine, now that's just downright painful. Sal has never, ever stood out at home. He wasn't the best, he wasn't the worst. Because of this, he tried everything he could to stand out. Now that he's the first member of his family to make it to PCA, as well as have a future in battling, he is riding a bit of a high back at home, and tries a bit harder than he should to be the best he can be.

Compared to Steven and Traze, Sal comes from a poorer family, and as such, his car isn't as heavily modified as theirs. Because of this power deficiency, he is the craziest driver out of the four of them, and takes the most daring lines... sometimes too daring. He has almost wrecked his car more than once, and amongst Team Burst, everyone worries that Sal's 'by an inch' style of driving is going to end up with him in the hospital...

Unlike most of Team Burst, Sal doesn't mind Alex smoking around him. He isn't too fond of it, but doesn't mind it either, and even tolerates a smoke himself from time to time.

Thus far, Salvador hasn't had any luck with the ladies, most probably due to his species. He isn't exactly good with hugs, but has been practicing relaxing his spikes to make himself much more huggable. He's improving slowly.
