Haha oh wow I've been really excited to post this character since I got around to finishing up the ref. Not only does the character itself have a lovely design, but the concepts behind Them are super fun as well!

Aliases: Blood Beast, Voss, Vampire, Bloodsucker, "AHHH!!", The Blood Soaked Lumberjack, The Masked LumberJack, Red Soaked Creeper.

Dislikes: Feasting on blood... most of the time. Attacking people accidentally. When a tree falls the wrong way it was supposed to.

Weaknesses: Needs to constantly consume blood or he begins to get weak.

Place of Residence: Born in Brisbane AU. Parents immigrated to Japan to try expand their business. Where he spent his youth. After the vampirism events, he stowawayed on a ship in order to come to the USA to escape mobs of people relating to him attacking animals and people.
Other Important Information:
If Lachlan feasts on a person for too long his teeth will grow into the person in an attempt to latch on and completely drain them. The only way to free the victim is to amputate their limb or saw through his teeth. Both are unpleasant, but one of them will grow back.
They are a hybrid of Human and a Jubokko. A Jubokko is essentially a japanese vampiric tree that stood where battles took place and soaked up the blood of the fallen soldiers around it and turned it into what it is. The Jubokko that attacked him branches can shapeshift into proboscis like tubes, Remora or Leech based mouths at the tips of the branches. Lachlan was gathering wood for a fire when the tree attacked him, he manages to cut down the tree before it fully drained him of life and so instead of it eating him the process is reversed and it it's dying carcass is partially absorbed into his body. Healing him as well as fusing into him. (Primarily his arms, legs, and insides).
Where her flesh was turned tree-y is an old-bark texture, and where the flesh meets bark, the skin is irritated and sometimes little drops of blood bead up at the edges. His hands and fingers are jagged and sharp/ pointed. He's still plantigrade but his toes are partially fused, long, and sharp as well. Good for climbing >:^) Their teeth are long, sharp, and dark brown, like tree's roots or branches. His mouth is blackened on the inside, with an purpleish tinge. His tongue can shapeshift into a proboscis, or come out of his throat in some horrifying manner. On one side of his face stretching out from beneath his hair are branches that connect to the corner of his eye and mouth. He tries to hide his disfigurements with large baggy leather coats that are stitched up and covers his face with a homemade leather vertical half mask. So he's spooky and chops down trees now. From then on he wanders to isolated towns to sell lumber.
Now that she's fused with this tree-vampire, he gets immense cravings for blood and is desperate to quench the craving without attacking people, she attacks local livestock instead, scaring the people who don't know who or what is doing it (he can consume non living blood but it's more like a snack and only staves off a craving for so long). He feels really bad about his condition but honestly can't help herself but give into the insatiable blood lust. He pretty much watches the townsfolk from a distance only coming close to people to sell his lumber.
Lachlan's blood can become possessed by the past victims of the tree, and in a last resort of forcibly makes him bleed out temporarily. The blood then shapeshifts into forms that vaguely resemble humans and set out to hunt for food when is he is starving in danger. Essentially a self preservation instinct given form. These lovely things are nicknamed HemoGoblins!
Next ability is Blood possession, Lachlan just has to take a big sippie of a persons blood and then spit it back out into the person...ew... to mind control them. Can temporarily turn into a tree-humanoid shape as an act of defense or create spears or shields from anywhere on his body, but it takes a LOT of excess feeding to do that. His insides are also pretty much completely treed-affied.
