Ralph is explaining how he got his famous bloody ear. You see, he had gotten into a scuffle with Jezebel, the most vicious of all rats, who wants to eradicate all of humanity to exact revenge. During the fight, she bit off a quarter of his ear, and all because he tried to reason with her. But how can you reason with someone who wants to promote and carry out a rodent version of ethnic cleansing? Jezebel herself has a pretty convoluted backstory, so I think I'll save that story for later.
