Gladys's weapon shop has an unofficial and strange motto : "all weapons suck, but ours suck less". This joke is made by all customers who had the misfortune to discuss weaponry with her, Katanas usually causing the most heated arguments. Are they cool weapons ? Of course. Are they overrated ? YOU BET THEY ARE. They bend and break easily, and their poor quality metal is why it needs to be folded thousands of times.
You gotta understand the poor goblin. If you knew how many customers she gets, buying Katanas blindly and putting them on pedestals after hearing countless fantasies about them, usually leading to misconceptions, misuse and injuries, to a point some of them accused Gladys of selling counterfeit blades.
So yeah, avoid bringing Katanas on the table with her, unless you enjoy hearing a goblin ranting and swearing like a sailor for an hour.
