I keep wondering if I should buy this game. I've never played a Dark Souls game before, but the game's world looks so interesting.

You don't need to play a souls game to play this one but it would make playing ds1, 2, 3, and demon souls harder since they have older and less streamlined mechanics. If you wanted to start playing some I would recommend staring with demon souls and playing through dark souls 1-3.

Otherwise you can play Elden Ring, and Sekiro, and Bloodborne. They are unique in the souls series in the mechanics and how they feel when you play them. So playing elden ring wouldn't make the gameplay feel chunky.

I still love and play demon souls but it would definitely feel rough after playing elden ring for 300+ hours 😆

Well, I don't have a Playstation 3, so I guess Demon's Souls is impossible, but there's a remastered version of Dark Souls 1 on Steam that I might get, thanks to your art and considerate reply. 😁
