Bev is Mandalorian for Needle/Spike

The Bev class Destroyer Escort was a light vessel designed during period to patrol and protect Mandalorian territory, the vessel designed to require the bare minimum crew to allow for multiple vessels to be in use at one time. The armament consisted of eight medium turbolasers in twin mountings, twelve concussion missile launchers, twelve twin heavy laser cannons, and twelve twin laser cannon turrets. The Bev would have a long career much like the Aranov class, the vessel proved more popular than the Aranov due to it requiring a crew count of less than a hundred and having the cargo capacity to operate for months in not a year or two before needing to resupply. Like the Aranov the Bev class would see use with many factions and often on all sides of various wars, also seeing a variety of configurations to allow for multiple purposes over its long career.
