Defining Traits (person): Listens to mainly metal music, thinks before acting yet having the teenage tendency to act on impulse when not level-headed, slightly cocky but always sees flaws within him, quiet around most other guys due to having a gay father and being unsure about sexuality.
Background Story~
Sigma was born into a very odd family. His father, an open homosexual was extremely close friends with his mother. When she came to him with feelings, the father, in a sense, developed similar feelings, just no sexual desire. Non-the-less, the odd couple married and had a son shortly thereafter. Tragically, in infancy, his mother developed a rare medical condition that took her life before his parents could even name the newborn. At age 3, his father noticed the child had an extreme, odd, insatiable interest in numbers. The child’s first word, “Sigma”, became his name. Numbers and numeric patterns and equations came easily to him. By age 13, Sig, as his friends called him, could do college level algebra and calculus. Sig’s personality started to take shape, becoming pretty extroverted, others typically described him rubbing off as “annoyingly narcissistic” throughout middle school. The summer before his freshman year in high school, his father was attacked by an angry mob of Christian extremists. Sigma quickly rushed to his father’s aide and stood in defense. Cops arrived taking the extremists into custody for a hate crime and rushing both Sigma and his father, who were both injured from their attackers, to a hospital with beds next to each other. There at the hospital, they came to a mutual decision it’d be better to move and start life anew then risk another attack in a not so friendly town. After healing and being released, the father and son moved to a new area and altered their appearance. The father ditched his flamboyant attitude anywhere but in the sanctity of their home, and wore clothing more suited towards his taste in music. Sig underwent Spot Reassignment Surgery, or SRS for short, to change his black spots into green numbers, with his right cheek given the “∑” Sigma symbol. Staying out of high school due to trauma for a few years, he entered his freshman year just after turning 17. Quickly after his first class, he befriended Nezz, a senior in his homeroom. Now? It’s near the end of the school year. Thanks to his mathematical genious, he will be going back as a senior next year with the rest of those his age class. Nezz, now a close family friend, makes semi-daily visits and consoles Number (Nezz’s nickname for Sigma) and his father. He has yet to learn of Nezz and his deepest darkest secrets however….
