Hi, I don't often write about this, but now I have to. I think many people know that there is a very big problem with medicines in Russia now, and especially in veterinary clinics. There are simply no medicines for animals. My ferret Lucif, since childhood has a chronic defect with a jaw and allergies (sometimes I think he is allergic to almost everything in this world). Every two weeks I have to give him a drip and three injections (painkillers and allergies). But now it has become very expensive (due to problems in delivery to Russia) or there are no medicines in clinics and ordering is impossible.
For two years I managed on my own and never asked for help. But now I have to pay three times more for injections because of the price increase or the minimum amount of medication. today I saw a terrible picture when my ferret was all swollen and red. I spent 3 hours in a veterinary clinic to remove the swelling that arose from unknown reasons (possibly allergic swelling again), for this you need to take tests.

here I fed him from a syringe, because he did not eat on his own. Even I noticed the special cat food my kitty needs (she is susceptible to struvite stones) went up in price. Though I don't think we have a shortage in medicine, which is a serious problem.
You seem like a responsible pet owner. I'm afraid I don't have the funds to help out. Heck... you probably make more in a month than I do... But I wish you and Lucif the best of luck.

Is that price really high? I don't know how bad things are getting in Russia, but that price is close to the cheap end in the Western world.
My web research says such tests typically run between $80 and $200 in developed countries. Per test.
Lowest I could find in America is $49 for a ferret. Again, that's per test.
Perhaps you could get a test mailed from Europe or America, or something? There must be alternatives...

The average salary of a citizen in Russia is $ 300. You may notice that the price of veterinary services is a third of the salary of an ordinary citizen.
It is not logical to compare, we have different living standards and salaries. If in the same USA $ 1k per month is the norm. Then in Russia such money can be earned only in the capital and obviously not an ordinary citizen

Even as little as $1k per month is DEEP below the poverty line here. That's homeless territory in America. Even a minimum-wage job pays better than $1k, though not by much... and there isn't a single county in America where you could afford a tiny apartment for minimum wage.
Cost of living varies widely from state to state... but roughly $3k per month is basic livable wage in Oregon. It may be double or triple that in wealthy states like New York, California, or Hawaii... or half that in poor states like Georgia or Arkansas.
Most Americans live paycheck to paycheck, often with heavy debts and little or no savings. We've got a serious housing crisis and the homeless population has really exploded in the past few years. In many ways, America is really struggling too.
