Hello. I think you know what’s going on in my country.
About 8 years I had no documents that could be considered legal and confirm my identity, but now I was able to find a way to get money orders and for this I made Boosty.
This is a new service for you, but for me, it’s my only chance to get money from the orders, I hope you understand. If you want to support me and my art you can come and subscribe, it is not expensive. On my Boosty I will post WIPs, sketches, photos from my life. Also, I will accept payment for orders via Boosty.
In times like these, every support will be important to me, I hope you understand.
Thank you for your attention.
My Boosty
If you leave any donations, please include them in the comments below this post, I will mark you in the gratitude journal.

I had a similar issue with Boosty when using PayPal if my credentials were saved.
What I had to do was "Pay with a new e-wallet" and sign back into the same PayPal. Otherwise, it would throw up a generic error every time.
I hope that might be the fix for you (if you're using PayPal, of course. My experiences are sadly limited with other payment methods).

Thanks for the info/tips. I actually tried 3 times (with three different amounts, the last time being the minimum of 200₽) and got the same error each time, however in between those 3 times I waited at least half an hour and tried donations to two other FA members who also can only use Boosty and both of those Boosty donations worked fine. It seems like it might be something specific about this particular Boosty account (at least for me). I will experiment more tomorrow.
I tried your Boosty a couple more times (using PayPal as the payment method) over the last few days, but I still got the error: "Oh, something went wrong. The payment failed due to a technical error. It happens, just try again now, or after a couple of minutes. If the error persists, please write to our support, and we will help."
I tried making some Donations to a few other people's Boosty accounts in between trying yours and their Boosty accounts seemed to work for me.
I then tried the method suggested by Hidden_Piecrust of selecting "Pay with a new e-wallet" and sign back into the same PayPal... and it worked: "Thanks for the support! ShinigamiTF one step closer to the goal! By supporting creators on Boosty, you help them spend more time on their content."
So if anyone else has a similar problem, that seems to be a possible solution. I am not sure why it seemed to be specific to your Boosty (for me).

Here is a step by step description of what I am doing right now:
1) go to ShinigamiTF's Boosty by clicking on https://boosty.to/stfart
2) look at the lower left of ShinigamiTF's Boosty page and there should be a "GOALS" panel with some information about donations, such as "20 449 of 100 000 ₽ money raised", click on the "DONATE" button for the GOAL you choose to support (there is only one GOAL currently on ShinigamiTF's Boosty, titled "For survive 👉🏻👈🏻")
3) OPTIONAL: in the "Donate" pop-up window that appears, edit the value in the "Choose how much to pay" field from the default of "200 ₽" to a value of your own choice (I used 999 ₽)
4) click on the "Donate" button (at the bottom of the pop-up window)
5) in the "Choose a payment method" pop-up window that appears, select PayPal (on the far right)
6) in the field with your PayPal email address, click on the "v" symbol to the right of the pre-filled email address, this will open a field just below the PayPal email address that has some options, the last of these options is "Pay with a new e-wallet"
7) click on the "Pay with a new e-wallet" option
8) the bottom of the "Choose a payment method" pop-up window (with the PayPal option still selected and the field under it reading "Pay with a new e-wallet") now shows a thin outline box that reads "PayPal" (PayPal), click on the "PayPal" at the bottom of the pop-up window
9) a PayPal pop-up window appears -- deal with it as you normally do
10) Boosty shows a spinning icon as it processes (for less than 30 seconds)
11) The Boosty pop-up window becomes:
Thanks for the support!
ShinigamiTF one step closer to the goal!
By supporting creators on Boosty, you help them spend more time on their content.
12) Click the "CLOSE" button at the bottom or the "X" icon in the upper right
13) Look at the new value in the GOALS, it should have changed by the amount you selected, for instance "21 448 of 100 000 ₽ money raised"
14) OPTIONAL: log on to your PayPal account and look at the transaction details to find out how PayPal converted the amount of rubles (₽) into your own currency.
Note: I have better success with using Boosty for values below about $50 USD, larger values might get rejected by PayPal (possibly an automated anti-fraud system).

Ok, the sticking point is right between 5 and 6. When I click on Paypal, the swirly loading icon just sits there spinning and it never brings up any paypal login. I don't know if it's some browser incompatibility or what; I'm running the latest version of Firefox so it's all up to date. Thing is, I'm sure I've donated through Boosty before, so something may have changed with an update within the last few months. I'll have to try a couple things and get back to this. Thanks for the info.
You should probably put a link to your Boosty on your FA Profile page, so people can find it easily.
