Yeah, I have a Whitetail that almost daily raids my bird feeder of seed despite the over abundance of other food in the area. Likely cause its tasty trail mix and easy to munch height. And when I do catch him in action, he just looks at me, bats his cute little eyes and quickly slurps up another mouthful and walks off.

A similar situation arises in Douglas Adams's The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy:The Restaurant at the End of the Universe, where the party arrives at the mentioned restaurant, and are then greeted by a bovine-like extraterrestrial creature who introduces herself as Dish of the Day and start praising the quality of various body parts of her, which seems a perfectly normal interaction for everybody, except for the main character (the only Earth native) who never asked for any of what's happening to him.
