Random dude turns into CG5 as he appeared in his performance at the (fictional, means fictional) Amerivision Song Festival 2021 in Antofagasta, Chile.
Basically Amerivision is Eurovision with countries in the Americas and the near-exact same rules as the OG ESC. CG5 represented the United States at the contest and won. (I repeat, this is a fictional singing-songwriting competition show based on Eurovision.)
CG5 is also real, but takes part in the (fake) contest.
