Whitley: Oh! You must mistake me for the Alpha. It happens a lot… we do look rather similar.
But, yes, the Seventh Street case. It is a puzzle that has grown more complicated by the day, I’m afraid. We though it a rogue lycan at first, but there are too many inconsistencies.

Whitley: *smiles* I’m closer to a “Sam” to the current “Quincy” but I appreciate the compliment. It is indeed interesting. Far more interesting than my last job, at any rate.
But speaking of interest…forgive me, you’re the first unicorn I’ve ever met. I have so many questions.

Whitley: Oh, no. I wouldn’t want to impose. I was just curious about misconceptions and rumors. There are many rather unfortunate pieces of gossip regarding lycans, and I wondered whether there were any that revolved around the more heroically depicted creatures, as well.
Oh plenty I haven't heard, I imagine. I won't have had time to debunk them all, I'm still relatively fresh to a lot of this. 'Relatively'. Time is a complicated business, you know.
*feeling the rustling in my mind* Oh, great. 'Heroic'. I'll be hearing about that one non-stop for weeks.

Two aspects of one being, thinking and learning from each other in tandem, if not always in unison with each other. Human and unicorn, with varying degrees of each. A complicated side-effect of prolonged transformation into a 'higher' being that has the intuition, but lacks the experience.
Whitley: Oh, yes. The lot of us, actually. We all pack up and go to a wildlife reserve owned by one of our members for the night, far, far from town. If anyone has trouble shaking it off the next day, we have half a dozen silver plated cages in the basement of our headquarters where they can find control again. If all else fails, my mentor, Beckett, has created a really rather brilliant wolfsbane injection as a “rescue” of sorts. Ordinarily, it would be lethal to lycans, but he has balanced it just so.
I imagine your other aspect doesn’t need as many failsafes.
