Well, if you're truly an evil over lord, then find a bunch of people who CAN read, make each one read you a few pages and after you memorize their section, you feed them to the gremlins so they don't become a threat. It's slower and less effective then just learning to read but far more "EVIL OVERLORD" and let's you save face by just claiming you are to important to read for yourself.
