The Shivada resides in cold snowy places, especially the Brumal Glen, but they are often seen flying into nearby warmer regions even during summer. And they can be seen flying everywhere during winter.
Males has an organ called a timbal, which they uses to produce the notable sound in order to attract mates.
Their young bury themselves to feed on saps on the roots, but rarely they might crawl out to feed on snow berries. Unlike regular cicadas, the husks left behind tend to shatters not long after the adult flies away.
They are friendly enough for you to pick up.
Ice mages has the ability to "freeze charge" them.
