Well, war is pretty different from hand-to-hand fighting. Are you American? Why are they so interested in WWII? My parents lived it. Right there, in the middle of bombings and straffings and the whole thing. Oh - and those are GLASS shards - not metal.

No - not at all. Were your parents in the war? Mom's Italian and lost her mom in an American bombing. Ironically, she married an American.

My dad was all over Europe during WWII with the then Army Air Corps. After years of listening to his stories, he finally said: "You know, the war was a lot of fun, really." You should rent the movie "Plenty" about England in WWII. A woman who acts as a spy during that time later realizes that her life sort of maxed out during the war. After the war, her life, and Britain's, in some ways, became quite routine and dull.
