My character Claude in his demon form!

In his main story he's a somewhat famous author from the old west, who travels around with a ragtag band of outlaws and turns stories of their adventures into trashy romance novels. During the gang's travels, he finds romance of his own in the arms of the Terror of the North - a ruthless outlaw named Harper. The two fall madly in love and eventually find their own version of happily ever after as a legendary couple of outlaws.

This version of Claude is from well after that story comes to a close though. Death couldn't even keep Claude and Harper apart. After his passing, Harper had made a deal with death so that he and Claude could still have their happily ever after and stay together. Neither of them really look like who they were in life anymore, but at least in Claude's opinion, that doesn't matter as long as he's with Harper.

This new version of Claude now is a bookkeeper of sorts, working under the Fates to record the life stories of those claimed by death and awaiting judgement. He probably doesn't take his job quite as seriously as he should, and tends to try and spice up the life stories he's writing down to make them more "interesting" in his words, much to the annoyance of the Fates.
