So on top of wanting his X-thread form colored, 
TopKabuto also had this idea for an alternate/desperation mode form for his X-thread. This is Squid mode, with its many disparate elements reforming to a singular larger form. I image Tops-X is very lightweight (as most X-threads are), but I imagine for its size, squid mode is just as heavy as the free floating mode, thus having an even lighter density. not like things like density affect the reality warping nature of X-threads. still fun to work on. good luck if you have the misfortune of needing to fight this form...
