Trying out a different style of line-work & coloring. A bit more adaptive in a natural manner but also somewhat messy. The messiness does make it a little more fun!
The Crewmember is a character from a multiple years on going rp. I'll do my best to sum up the gist from the information that I can recall.
The Crewmember is a long lost Cosmonaut. He was a member of a long lost starship with an experimental sub-space engine. A step toward the warp drive by folding the space around the ship, and placing the ship itself in a sub-plane. Motioning the sub-plane to to instead push through and simply 'appear' elsewhere in normal space. Exceeding light speed by not necessarily moving faster than light, but instead simply slipping free of the restraints of the typical physical 'spacial' dimension.
Unfortunately, this engine did not create a uniform bubble around the ship and lead to all forms of malfunctions. Leading to brief encounters with maddening entities, and leading to the death of nearly all of the original crew. The main survivor being crewmate.
Left between a sub-plane between the normal space-time spectrum, it was hard to access.
Luckily, someone had tampered with a warp drive by using a disruptive material in it & recreating a similar process to the Crewmember's original star ship.
Leading to their eventual liberation.
Oddly, the Cosmonaut's suit is near indestructible from unknown events. The patchwork of high grade sealing tape had been placed long before both incidents, but they could be peeled back.Their helmet is also capable of being removed with an adjustment of levers at the back.
However, they will angrily refuse to ever come out of the suit.
Out of instinctual terror.
The ever shifting mass of madness that would be released if so, along with the threads of sanity left in them on the right.
Fun Fact: The Crewmember had a pack with a symbol of a hammer, sickle, & screwdriver on the back of it originally.
