I may have been thinking of that when I chose the name; even I don't know all of what goes on in my head.
There will actually be a unicorn in the story (I've already had her drawn) but that's not Alicia, and I've only actually written the name she uses on her badge at the convention she attends while shapeshifted to look human. Haven't actually settled on her real name yet.

I'm more familiar with Vicky's RPG work than her work in Xanadu and the Ever-Changing Palace APA- I am terribly fond of Tales From The Floating Vagabond, a tabletop game I was familiar with in junior high school in the late 1980s, before I was directly involved in Furry Fandom- but I am very happy to know that as a hearty, positive person or through her excellent and wholesome storytelling (well, except for Bugshoe, who was a creep with a good heart) she met the hearts and imaginations of many younger fans and fursons, myself amongst them.
I'm grateful we shared the friendship we did over several years here on FurAffinity before she passed away, and since then I've thought of her fondly when I remember our conversations here and read the handful of comic issues I have of Xanadu's several maxiseries', and the one copy of The Ever-Changing Palace I own, a birthday gift from an old friend in California a very long time ago along with the first issue of Take Off: A Fusion Fanzine and a handful of convention photos of werewolf fursuits.
While I shared very few of my drawings done at the time with her, I think she would be very content to know that her support as an older, veteran fantasy, sci-fi and Furry artist and a wonderful, positive friend to a younger 2Paw has helped me carry the torch I bear in writing and drawing my own creative work today.

Hey, I remember having the then-chair of Vulcon come talk to other Canadian conrunners, with a presentation on how the whole town gets into the act (or did, anyway, this was mid-2000s). It was quite amazing. They do have a major franchise to support them though, unlike a Fuzz Fest. :) And they're 90 minutes from Calgary airport, highly feasible. Flin Flon is a little more... out of the way.
They even got in Spock himself at least once, as I recall.
