Masked Toon Singer Season 5 Group B Duet Finale
Kitty: Welcome back to the Masked Toon Singer Season 5, ladies and gentlemen! Now, it's time for Group B to have their Duet Finale before the big Battle Royale Finale!
Everyone: (cheering and applauding)
Kitty: And in case you're just joining us, Group A had their Duet Finale, and Peacock is now moving on to the Battle Royale Finale. However, Trash Can was thrown out much like yesterday's garbage, and after digging through her, she was revealed to be Sally Acorn from the Sonic franchise.
Fred: I can't believe I never got that.
Stew: Well, who cares? Just as long as we got another male finalist!
Fred: I do! 'Cause I want that Golden Toon Ear Trophy!
Kitty: Calm down, Fred. Since Cadence and Isabelle were the only ones to get Sally right, they each get a point in the running for the Golden Toon Ear Trophy. Which means Cadence is now tied with Terry for the lead with six points a-piece, and Isabelle's trailing behind with five points. Chick's still got three points, and Fred and Stew are still tied with two points a-piece.
Cadence: You hear that, Terry? I'm starting to catch up with you! ;3
Terry: Don't press your luck just yet, Cadence. There's still Group B to deal with.
Cadence: I know.
Isabelle: Speaking of Group B, who's returning to perform with the last two remaining members of this group?
Kitty: I'm glad you asked, Isabelle! From my own universe, we have the Phonics Fox, aka the Shower from Season 3, performing with the Werewolf. As for the Jaguar, he's been given the great honor of performing of Sinnoh League Champion Cynthia, aka the Electric Eel from Season 4.
Chick: Oh, that would be amazing! It'll be great to see those two lovely ladies gracing our stage once again.
Terry: Yeah, it's gonna be great! I can feel it!
Kitty: And, like before, the veterans will be telling us a little something about the current contestants right after their performance. It will serve as a clue to that contestant's true identity.
Cadence: Fascinating.
Fred: Of course it's fascinating. We've done it before last time!
Isabelle: Looks like SOMEBODY hasn't taken their afternoon nap.
Fred: Oh, hardy har har. -__-
Chick: Oh, for the love of giblets. Can we PLEASE get this show on the road?
Kitty: Don't worry, Chick! Cynthia and the Jaguar are just about ready to perform as we speak. So, let's all give a nice, warm welcome to the big, burly jungle cat known as the Jaguar along with the artist formerly known as the Electric Eel, Cynthia!
Jaguar: Man, I'm surprised myself that I managed to make it all the way to my group's Duet Finale. I guess I still have that fire burning in me, and that's what's keeping me in this competition. So, I wanna keep it burning towards the finale, and I'm showing no signs of slowing down! Ever since I first came here, I've been on the hunt for the Golden Toon Mask Trophy, and I've almost got it in my grasp. Now, I've got some help in getting my hands on it, and she's had plenty of experience in becoming champion!
Cynthia: Yup, that's me! While I may be the champion of the Sinnoh Pokémon League, I came up a bit short when it came to becoming the Masked Toon Singer champion last season. Oh, well. I'm a much better Pokémon battler than musician, anyway. But I think I still got some musical skills in me. And when the staff of the Masked Toon Singer asked me to return for a Duet, I jumped at it. ^^ Never thought I'd be doing it with a big jungle cat, though. Eh, beggars can't be choosers.
Song: "Let's Get It Started" by the Black Eyed Peas: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uS9A9lqd7-k
Kitty: Wow! That was amazing, Jaguar! You're certainly proving to us that you've got staying power!
Jaguar: Thanks so much. ^^
Kitty: (turns to Cynthia) Same to you, Cynthia! I had no idea you knew how to rap.
Fred: Well, I don't think SHE had any idea she could, either.
Cadence: Shush, Fred! Don't be so rude!
Cynthia: Thanks, Kitty. I've always wanted to release a rap album of sorts after I became Sinnoh champ. This seemed like a perfect opportunity to showcase my mad rapping skills. Just ask my Garchomp. He'll vouch for me.
*However, Cynthia's Garchomp came on the stage holding two bar stools to his ears, mainly to block out his trainer's attempt at rapping. This gave everyone the notion that her rapping skills may not be as good as she claims.*
Chick: Hmmmm. I'm not sure. It looks like Garchomp's conveying a different kind of message. ^^;
Isabelle: Yeah, are you sure your rapping skills are as good as you claim?
Cynthia: Oh, Garchomp's just being a jokester. My rapping can't be THAT bad!
Terry: That remains to be seen.
Kitty: Yeah, let's go with that. But, there's another reason why we brought Cynthia's Garchomp out on the stage. He's carrying a clue to the Jaguar's true identity that was gonna be what he shared with Cynthia before the show started. The problem is... after Cynthia wrote it down, Garchomp swallowed it. ^^;
Everyone: WHAT?
Stew: I hope Cynthia remembered what she wrote.
Cynthia: No worries, Stew. I know how to get it out of him. (turns to Garchomp) Garchomp, use Hyper Beam!
Garchomp: (lowers the bar stools, and shoots out a Hyper Beam, along with a burnt up strip of paper)
Kitty: (grabbing the strip as it floats to the ground, and begins to read it) Hmmmmm. It's kinda hard to make out given how burnt up it is. The only words I could make out are "robot," "dragon," and "maverick." Did that help out, panel?
Isabelle: Those words made me think of "Mega Man X," given how the Mavericks in that series are all based off of animals.
Cadence: But, were there any dragon Mavericks in that series?
Terry: Yeah, there was one! The ever so popular Magma Dragoon from "Mega Man X4"!
Fred: But what about Mattrex from "Mega Man X5"? I think those two might be brothers.
Chick: That's not TOO bad of an idea, Fred. Although, Magma Dragoon's a dragon and Mattrex is a T-Rex, but they DO look similar enough given how they're robotic lizards with fire abilities.
Fred: Finally, someone gets me!
Kitty: Well, we'll see about that, Fred! But speaking of fire, that performance from the Jaguar truly WAS fire! And a very special thank you to Sinnoh champ Cynthia for coming back and... uh... gracing us with her talents. ^^;
Cynthia: Happy to be of service, Kitty. (pulls out Garchomp's Pokeball) Garchomp, return! (returns Garchomp to his Pokeball, and returns backstage)
Kitty: And while the panel scratches their heads trying to figure out who the Jaguar could be, let's bring in the Werewolf and her Duet partner. Her partner was a real surprise reveal back in Season 3, as she was revealed to be someone from my own series! What are the odds? Anyway, here's Werewolf and her Duet partner, the artist formerly known as the Shower, Phonics Fox!
Werewolf: Wow! I had no idea that I make it THIS far into the competition. Let alone being so close to the finale. And I thought what I had to go through to rescue my own kingdom was a close call. Well, guess I was just lucky. Or nuts. Yeah, the latter assumption seems most accurate. But I can't back out now! I'm gonna win this whole thing! Lucky for me, I got me another anthro angel as my Duet partner, who probably has less appearances on her show than I had.
Phonics Fox: Oh, thanks for putting me under the bus there, Werewolf. But sadly, it's true. I never physically appeared in my series like she did, so who I was as a character was all up to fan interpretation. Well, it's a good thing I quit Quacky's show to come on this one, albeit as a walking shower, but I digress. I'm hoping to get my own show past the developmental phase soon, but for now, I'm gonna perform a little diddy with the Werewolf to continue to showcase my musical talents. If I can't make it on TV, I could still have a future on Broadway after this performance!
Song: "I Dreamed A Dream" by Lea Salonga: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l60ELjsq3O4
Kitty: Oh my. That was beautiful, you two. I'm almost in tears of the sheer beauty of that performance.
Phonics Fox: (tearing up as well) Thank you, Kitty.
Stew: (sniffs) I'm not sure I can speak after this.
Cadence: I know. Phonics Fox really showed that she can sing beautifully. It was REALLY stupid of us to eliminate her from Season 3 so early.
Fred: Yeah, I know. I'm still kicking myself in the rear after that.
Terry: We all are, Fred.
Phonics Fox: Oh, don't worry about it. I promise I won't mention it once I get a pilot for my new educational show. If I could ever get it off the ground soon.
Fred: Well, okay.
Isabelle: But, we can't leave the Werewolf outta this. She sang just as beautifully as Phonics Fox did. <: )
Werewolf: Thanks, sweetheart. I really put my heart and soul into this performance. I've come to far to go home now!
Chick: Yeah, we can tell!
Kitty: I know, you guys! Neither Jaguar or Werewolf wanna go home after those amazing performances. But right now, let's see what the Werewolf has told the Phonics Fox before the performance. What the Werewolf told the Phonics Fox could serve as a clue to her true identity. So, Phonics Fox, care to share what the Werewolf has told you before the performance?
Phonics Fox: Well, Kitty, she didn't really talk much, but she told me that once she's revealed, everyone's gonna have to grin and bear it. And she's added that it's definitely no monkey business. No idea what that means, so I just went with it.
Cadence: Bears? Monkeys? Hmmmmmmmm, maybe this could somebody from a Rare game. We've had plenty of those.
Chick: Or it might be a one-shot TaleSpin girl, like we've been assuming. The bear and the monkey could be a nod to Baloo and Louie, as they've had their fair share of adventures involving attractive girls.
Fred: You could be onto something, Chick!
Chick: Thank you. ^^
Isabelle: Well, regardless, that was an amazing performance! It'll be hard to choose a favorite duel.
Kitty: I know, Isabelle. Well, that about does it for the Group B Duet Finale. Thanks again for dropping by our show, Phonics Fox. Hopefully, your show will be greenlit soon!
Phonics Fox: Thanks again, Kitty. It's been a honor to perform once more. :) (hugs Kitty, and returns backstage)
Kitty: There goes another aspiring all-star. Well, now it's time for the viewers at home to pick a favorite duet from Group B. Leave a comment below telling us which Duet was your favorite. The contestant with the least amount of votes will be unmasked and sent back to their universe, while the other will move on to the big Battle Royale Finale. So, happy voting, everyone!
